Chancel Flowers
Flowers are an important part of worship, reminding us all of the gift of life from God. There are flowers on the altar most weeks of the year. (There are no flowers for Lent, which is a time of fasting and remembering Jesus's time in the Wilderness. During Advent, we use greenery at the altar and around the sanctuary, so no flower arrangements are needed.) On Christmas and Easter, additional flowers fill the area surrounding the altar as part of our abundant celebration of these holy days.
You can dedicate flowers for the altar in gratitude for the good things in your life, like loved ones, personal milestones, and other special occasions, or in remembrance of those who have died. Click on the blue button below to sign up for one or more Sundays this year.
A donation of $40 is suggested, but optional, to help cover the cost of flowers. Click here to make your donation online, either with a credit or debit card or by using your PayPal account; enter "flowers" in the line for special instructions. If you'd prefer to donate via check, please mail it to the church office or drop it in the collection plate, with "flowers" and the date you signed up for in the memo line.
To guarantee inclusion in the bulletin, be sure your dedication is in no later than one week before the service.
Interested in helping with floral arrangements? No previous experience required; the Flower Guild can teach you everything you need to know. Contact the Church office to sign up.
