Our High School students headed for the Camp of the Transfiguration (Campamento de la Transfiguracion) in the village of El Pedregal. We created a safe space for a playground by prepping the ground and building a wall. We finished playground equipment for the school that the group before us started. We spent time in the community building relationships is Dominican teens. We strengthened our faith, learned things about ourselves, and experienced in deep and profound ways. This was a trip of a lifetime!
Our Middle School students spent a week in Savannah. We painted, worked with children, prepped a community garden, did light repair work on a home, and worked in a soup kitchen. We joined about 60 other teens from around the southeast for our work. It was fun to meet people from other places, worship with them on the beach, and play in our free time. If you’ve not been to a Savannah Banana’s game, we highly recommend it!
