Youth Ministry

Youth Group meets weekly during the school year and welcomes those in grades 6 thru early college. We have a meal together, games, program, and split into age groups for discussion and activities. Friends are always welcome!

Outreach/Service Ministries are a cornerstone of our youth ministries. About once a month, we serve beyond ourselves. We feed the homeless and hungry, we make plarn for mats for the homeless, we host parties at nursing homes and rehab centers, we sort food and school supplies, we play with children at Coalition for the Homeless, we do yard work, cook at Ronald McDonald House and Hubbard House, clean toys at the Center for Abused Children and the list continues.

Destination Unknowns are always a fun surprise for our youth. We’ll gather without the students having any knowledge of where we are going or what we are doing. It’s always something fun and sometimes educational and it never disappoints.

Weekend Retreats such as New Beginnings and Happening are very important in the scope of our program. Teens go on the retreats appropriate for their age groups. On these weekend excursions, they join with teens from other places to learn more about themselves and their God and to just plain have fun!

Mission Trips are a highlight of our summers. Our Middle Schoolers stay in the southeastern US, having traveled to Augusta GA, Savannah GA (twice), Chattanooga TN, and Charleston SC. Our High Schoolers have served in New York City, Washington DC, Philadelphia PA, Charleston SC, and El Pedregal in the Dominican Republic.

On these trips our youth work with the elderly, in soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, in community gardens, in programs for underprivileged children, and doing light house repair. We worship each morning and night, have some great Bible study/Devotion times, and grow as individuals and as a group.
